Laura's right, the only way the Cottenham Pool will survive is if we have swimmers, so please come along, get your Goggs on and take the plunge!

Note from weekend lifeguard and association chairman:

Weather cruel or not, the pool's getting warmer! 26 Celsius (nearly 79 Fahrenheit) on Sunday 1st July.

Whatever the weather, the weekend and 'Early Bird' sessions will continue - these sessions are largely covered by volunteer lifeguard time.

BUT - there are not enough people using the pool to make it financially possible to continue the full weekday timetable that we have at the moment.

If we get enough people using the pool then we can continue with weekday sessions as they are (plus swimming lessons and early-afternoon fun sessions) after 22nd July. Otherwise after 22nd July we will need to open only on three weekdays or two weekdays (e.g. only Mon, Wed, Fri, or only Tues & Thurs)...unless of course we get enough donations to cover all of the maintenance bill _and_ enough further donations or volunteer lifeguards to cover at least half the lifeguarding timetable!
